Courage – the strength to face one’s fear

It takes courage to speak English out loud.  Saying hello to the cashier at the grocery store.  Having a conversation on the telephone. Making a presentation to a group of colleagues.

Have you ever talked with someone who spoke your language as their second language?  What was your attitude toward that person?

I admire a person who speaks in their second language, no matter how fluently, because I know it took a lot of learning, practice and courage to do it.
